Most of the paintball gun websites and blogs I find these days are lame. But recently I came across a cool paintball blog here: paintball guns.
Check it out if you are want to learn more about paintball guns, find out which marker is best for you, etc.
The site is in a blog format, so it’s easy to find news, product reviews, and more.

Paintball gear includes the following paintball equipment. The essentials required to play paintball are
- Paintball marker/gun. Paintball marker is the proper name for a paintball gun. Paintball markers cost anywhere from $70 to $1,400.
- Safety mask/goggles. Paintball masks, also called goggles, protect your eyes, and often your ears, from flying paintballs. Good paintball safety masks will also have good ventilation so your face doesn’t get too hot. They cost about $30 to $100.
- Paintballs. Paintballs are the ammunition, if you will, which you shoot from your paintball marker to mark opponents. You can buy 2,000 rounds of paintballs for about $40 to $60.
People who enjoy playing paintball frequently often consider getting the following optional paintball gear:
- Grenade Launchers. Paintball grenade launchers shoot 20-30 paintballs in all directions. They are great for flushing out an opponent who is hiding behind a barrier.
- Pistols. Paintball pistols are paintball markers held in one hand. They are used as a backup for a larger gun, chosen for certain types of paintball games, and preferred by some paintball players.
- Pistol Holsters. A paintball pistol holder is merely a belt with a pocket for the pistol to be safely strapped to the player’s waist.
- Gear Packs and Harnesses. Paintball gear packs and harnesses are simply bags or holders for ammunition (paintballs), clips, or other items.
- Gear Bag. Use a paintball gear bag to store your paintball gear and carry it to a paintball field.
- Hoppers or Loaders. Paintball hoppers, which are also called loaders, attached to the paintball gun to store individual paintballs and quickly load them into the paintball gun. Hoppers generally come in three types: gravity feed, agitating, and force feed.
- Marker/Gun Bag. The gun bag simply holds the paintball marker when it is not being used to protect the paintball marker from scratches.
- Ghillie Suits. Ghillie suits are camouflage coverings that help you hide in the woods.
- Night vision. Normally, paintball isn’t played in the dark. But if it is, night vision devices will help you see your opponent in the dark.
- Sights and Laser Sights. Sights are another name for the scope on a gun that you can look through to see your opponent. Sights can be magnified, so you can see closer than normal. However, since paintball markers can only shoot 300 feet per second, the main purpose of a sight is to help you aim by being able to see where the gun is aimed.
- CO2 air tanks. Most paintball guns use CO2 air tanks to create air pressure that propels the paintball into the air. You don’t want to run out of these during a game.
